For a perfect state of calm. It seems I’m always internally on edge. Afraid that at any moment, I’ll lose everything important to me, but then I just think to myself, breathe, be, om.

I want to get lost in nature with someone. I want to share a bond of unconditional love with that person. I want to sit in a clearing, surrounded by blooming trees. I want to get lost in thought and come back out, just to see that person in the same mind state. I will smile, then get lost once more. Always knowing that I will return to a place just as beautiful as the one I’ve just left.

“It will pass,” the teacher said matter-of-factly.
A week later, the student came back to his teacher. “My meditation is wonderful! I feel so aware, so peaceful, so alive! It’s just wonderful!’
“It will pass,” the teacher replied matter-of-factly.
